Frequently Asked Questions
What will a session cost?
I operate a sliding scale of charges, please contact me. I have a limited number of places for which I can offer a reduced rate for trainees, or those on low income. I ask for payment to be made at the end of each session, either by cheque, cash or direct transfer.
How long is a session?
The first session may last up to an hour. Thereafter, sessions will be for 50 minutes.
How often will sessions take place?
Ideally, sessions will take place once a week, on the same day of the week and at the same time. If either of us needs to cancel or change an appointment we will try to do this with plenty of notice.
Can I use my private health insurance to pay?
Yes, I am a registered provider with Bupa, AXA-PPP and Aviva. If you have insurance with another company please contact me.
Whenever possible, I ask for 48 hours notice if you need to cancel and re-arrange a session, although I understand that sometimes this will not be possible and I ask that you contact me as soon as possible. I will do my best to offer you an alternative session during that week. If you do not give me any notice or do not attend a session without letting me know, I have to charge for the missed session.
For how long?
The amount of therapy sessions that is appropriate for each client will vary. I can offer brief therapy of between 6 – 12 sessions, or open-ended psychological therapy, depending on your needs and the problems presented.
Where will I be seen?
I work from a comfortable consulting room in Ealing W7, between Northfield Avenue and Boston Road, with good transport links and available parking.
Will it remain confidential?
Confidentiality is a priority. I adhere to the HCPC code of conduct and BPS code of ethics and conduct.
